Empower Your Health and Warm Your Soul: Healthy Peppermint Mocha

There’s nothing like a satisfying mug of minty, chocolatey coffee to warm your bones and get you in the holiday spirit. Once you try our low-sugar, dairy-free (but oh-so-delicious) take on this frothy favorite, you’ll be in peppermint heaven and sharing it with all of your friends!

It’s made with microbe-friendly ingredients like raw cacao powder (full of prebiotics and enzymes), gut-soothing peppermint oil, and coffee (or you could opt for prebiotic-rich roasted dandelion root coffee). Finish it off with a natural sweetener and nutrient-dense non-dairy milk and you’ll have a warm treat that satisfies your craving and nourishes you both physically and mentally.

1 cup of your favorite fair-trade coffee (Try our Roasted Dandelion Root Coffee for a gut-healthy twist!)
½ cup of non-dairy milk of your choice
1 tablespoon of raw cacao powder
¼ teaspoon organic peppermint extract
Dash of maple syrup or agave to taste

Whisk together milk and cacao powder in a small saucepan over medium heat. When milk begins to steam, remove from heat and stir in peppermint extract. Pour steamed milk mixture over coffee in a large mug, and sweeten to taste with maple syrup or agave. ENJOY!
