Raising More Than $150,000 for Balinese Women and Children in Need

bumi sehat

We believe that individually we are powerful beyond measure and that together, we can change our planet for the better.

So, when we heard about the construction of a new clinic in Indonesia that would give thousands of families access to quality maternal health care at absolutely no cost, we knew we had to help.

In an inspiring dollar-for-dollar matching campaign, we joined forces with Earth Company, the Search Foundation, Michael Franti, and Anna Beck Jewelry to rally the communities of our friends, families, and partners, and we proudly set a goal of raising $150,000 for Bumi Sehat Foundation International’s new clinic in Bali.

Thanks to profound generosity, kindness, and willingness to help the mothers and children in Southeast Asia, we hit our goal before our deadline of August 31!

To date, we’ve raised more than $78,277 in individual donations, which we are honored to match, surpassing our initial goal for a grand total of $150,000—and the donations keep on rolling in.

Here’s How It Helps

The compelling and award-winning work of Bumi Sehat Foundation International has delivered thousands of babies and saved hundreds of lives of poor, medically-disenfranchised women and children in areas where the maternal mortality rate is nearly 31 times higher than that in the U.S.

With the vision of a brand new clinic nearly three times as large as their current location (which already supports hundreds of families per year), Bumi Sehat Bali can now expand their mission to include services like:

• general health preventive services
• gentle birthing
• family health
• elderly wellness
• education for the entire community

Internationally recognized midwife Robin Lim and her team of heroes at Bumi Sehat are steadfast in working to improve the health and wellness of Indonesian communities through education and empowerment, firmly rooted in love.

Changing the World One Birth at a Time

While becoming a mother is a privilege that is shared by women all over the world, the opportunity for quality maternal healthcare and a healthy start at life—sadly—is not.

Ensuring more women have access to the care they need through Bumi Sehat’s new clinic not only means a greater number of gentle, loving births (and healthy microbiomes), but also provides more education and employment opportunities for women in Bali.

We’re honored to contribute to this groundbreaking work that will give more than 1,500 children in Bali a safe and healthy passage into this world and offer meaningful support to the core wellness of the local community.

From the Bottom of Our Hearts, We Thank You

A special thank you to all of our individual donors, and especially to our partners at Earth Company and the Search Foundation who went above and beyond to help us spread Robin’s message and bolster support for children and families in need in Indonesia.

We’re also thankful for our amazing family of customers, without whom we wouldn’t be able to make such a remarkable impact on so many.

When you invest in your foundation of health by taking probiotics, you’re also investing in the health of thousands of women and children around the world. We’re overwhelmed with gratitude to be able to help consumers make conscious choices that have the power to heal the world bit by bit.
