From poverty to public policies, and, most especially, deeply-rooted cultural expectations about a woman’s value and worth still create barriers to progress for women in most countries, including the U.S.
In fact, we have been shaken to the core at the level of oppression and discrimination that is currently decimating the lives of hundreds of millions of women and girls throughout the world. So much so, that we leapt into action and created Change for Women, a collective of creative leaders and businesses standing together with one simple mission: to make a difference in the world by advancing health, human rights, and equality for women and girls everywhere.
Educating and empowering women is not only the right thing to do, it’s the smart thing to do. Studies show that educating and empowering women can break cycles of poverty within a single generation.
Here’s just one example of how the cycle of education and economic empowerment can benefit generations to come:
At Hyperbiotics, we support more than 18 hand-selected, local and global nonprofit organizations that represent six important issues faced by women and girls today, including economic empowerment, education, equal rights, maternal health, breastfeeding and parental support, and women’s health and family planning.
We know that together, we can collectively be the change we so desperately wish to see.
