Frequently asked questions:

What are probiotics?

Probiotics are beneficial bacteria that reside in and on your body and provide support to your overall health. Some reside in your oral cavity and promote the health of your ears, nose, and throat, though the vast majority of them reside in the digestive tract and promote overall health and wellness.

If probiotics are already residing in my body, why do I need a supplement?

In an ideal world, we would all have balanced microbiomes and there would be no need for supplementation. Unfortunately, our modern diet full of processed foods, the overuse of antibiotics, the use of certain medications, the daily stress in our lives and several other lifestyle factors deplete our microbiomes. Replenishing this critical beneficial bacteria can help to restore our balance and achieve true health as nature intended.

What are the benefits of taking probiotics?

Taking probiotics and replenishing the healthy bacteria in your gut can help you climb to the pinnacle of your health in a variety of ways.

These include but certainly aren’t limited to:

  • Improving the absorption of vitamins and nutrients
  • Restoring balance of the intestinal flora
  • Stimulating immunity
  • Normalizing the gut-brain connection
  • Balancing normal yeast growth
  • Reducing inflammation
  • Balancing the pH of the digestive tract
What makes Hyperbiotics probiotics unique?

Patented technology – our use of the LiveBac® and BIO-tract® patents allows us to make an extremely effective probiotic that gets the beneficial bacteria deep into your gut – where you need it the most.

Variety of strains – our formulas contain up to 15 different strains of beneficial bacteria depending on which one you choose. Why does this matter? Each type of bacteria likes to live in a different part of your intestinal tract, and we learn more every day about the specific benefits of each type. Including multiple strains of bacteria is critical because it gives you a larger spectrum of support for overall health.

What are LiveBac® and BIO-tract® technologies and how do they make Hyperbiotics more effective?

BIO-tract® is a patented time-release delivery method designed to protect the beneficial organisms in our probiotics from the harsh environment of your stomach acids. This increases (by 15x) the amount of bacteria that survives stomach acids and can reach deep within your GI tract where it is needed most. The time-release process happens over an 8-10 hour period.

LiveBac® is a patented manufacturing process that ensures shelf-life stability, guaranteeing an effective dose for 18 months from the date of manufacture without the need for refrigeration.

Both of these technologies work together to provide an extremely effective and shelf-stable product so you can be sure that the beneficial organisms are alive when you take them and that they will survive the journey through your stomach – giving you the full benefits that probiotics have to offer.

Are there any side effects that I should expect when taking Hyperbiotics probiotics?

It’s possible to experience some detoxification effects as the beneficial organisms in your probiotics begin to colonize. When taking a multi-strain formula, there are a variety of things happening within your intestinal tract, including the production of byproducts such as lactic and folic acids, niacin, antimicrobials, and other B vitamins. As it turns out, these byproducts can actually help improve and increase the absorption of vitamins and nutrients through your intestinal wall for overall health.

However, these byproducts along with the bacterial balancing of your intestinal tract, may cause some temporary digestive effects that can include bloating, gas or even a change in frequency or texture of your stool. It’s also possible to experience temporarily reddened skin or headaches.

Keep in mind that experiences like these are actually signs that positive changes are occurring at a microbial level. For most people, these sensations tend to subside quickly (within a few weeks) as their body begins to acclimate to these new levels of activity.

You can help ease side effects before they start by staying hydrated – it helps keep things moving in your body and will allow you to feel healthier and more energized even faster.
